Superintendent's Welcome

Dr. Zach McLaughlin joined Springfield School District in July of 2010 as an assistant principal at Springfield High School. He has worked in multiple roles in the district including Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment and Assistant Superintendent. In March of 2013, he was named Superintendent of Schools.
 
Prior to joining the district, Dr. McLaughlin worked in schools in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Missouri, China, and South Africa. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Politics from Saint Anselm College, a Master's in Arts of Teaching from Washington University in Saint Louis, a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Education Leadership from Bridgewater State University, and a Doctorate of Education from Boston College.
 
In 2021, Dr. McLaughlin was named Vermont's Superintendent of the Year.
 
He lives in Brattleboro with his partner and two daughters.
