Teaching in Springfield Schools

Springfield, Vermont, has a long history of industry, innovation, and creativity. Springfield and the Precision Valley were the force behind the machine tool industry in the United States throughout the 20th century, building machine tools and gears to power the American economy. In fact, Springfield's mascot is the Cosmopolitans, representing our history as a center of scholarship, diplomacy, and industry.

As the machine tool industry declined, Springfield went through a period of significant change, and is in a process of rebirth and revitalization.

Now, Springfield's students are working to become Capable Cosmopolitans, ready to engage with the world and to improve our town, state, and nation.

In order for our students to become Capable Cosmopolitans, they need dedicated adults ready to support and coach them to achieve their dreams.

Working in Springfield can be the hardest job you'll ever love.

Springfield School District is committed to cultivating a team where a diversity of experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives are encouraged and celebrated. We encourage applicants to apply for positions even if they do not meet all of the posted qualifications.
