Re: Potential COVID Transmission at August 23rd Board Meeting and Postponement of Board-Related Meetings the Week of September 7th
While transmission of COVID-19 at the Springfield School Board Meeting of Monday, August 23rd cannot be definitively confirmed, district officials are concerned that there is increasing potential that it may have occurred. If you were a participant in that meeting, please read the attached letter that identifies recommended steps you should take.
In light of this concern and the inability to have at least one key participant present, the Springfield School Board will not be meeting the week of September 7th. The district and the board will use that time to reevaluate our meeting protocols in light of the recent increase in COVID infections.
