Final Chance to Pick-up Materials and Equipment

Good evening parents, students, and staff of Springfield School District,

This is Zach McLaughlin, the Superintendent of Schools. This afternoon Governor Scott issued a "Stay Home, Stay Safe" Order. The directive goes into effect tomorrow afternoon at 5:00 PM. Under this order, most of our staff will be moving to offsite work. The order also extends our school closure through at least April 15th.

As a result, tomorrow is an important final day for picking up materials, supplies, and equipment from our schools. Elm Hill families already have scheduled appointments slots for pick-up of Chromebooks, materials, and student belongings. Union Street School will be distributing materials and student personal belongings to families between 2:30-4:30 so as not to interfere with Elm Hill's distribution schedule.

If you are in need of picking up final items from Springfield High School or Riverside Middle School, please call those schools directly, and they will inform you how and at what time tomorrow pick-up may be possible.

Thanks for your ongoing flexibility and support. Your school employees are working tirelessly to ease some of the challenges of the current situation.

Thank you and good night.
