How to Interpret the District COVID Dashboard
In an effort to judge the potential risk of transmission in the community, the district tracks indicators identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The CDC issued new recommendations to schools in February entitled "CDC’s Operational Strategy for K-12 Schools through Phased Mitigation" (Issued in February). That guidance indicates that there are three core indicators and several secondary indicators that schools need to consider in evaluating the risk for a potential spread within schools.
Below are the CDC Charts that describe the indicators.
All of these indicators are now trackable via the CDC's "COVID-19 Integrated County View" website. Just go to the site and use the drop-down menus to select <Vermont> and <Windsor County>.
In addition to these indicators, we have been working hard to be consistent followers of both CDC guidelines and additional state guidelines. We will continue to monitor the adherence to this guidance within our school community.
