Instructional Framework

The Springfield School District (SSD) and its Instructional Framework Committee has established a bold vision: we will ensure high-quality learning experiences for every student and accelerated outcomes for those who have been historically underserved.  Our primary objectives are:

  1. Every learner will engage deeply with grade-level —or above— texts and tasks through meaningful, student-centered instruction.
  2. Our work will reflect the needs and voices of our community.

Our Instructional Framework Committee will work to ensure shared ownership, coherence, and sustainability of the district’s instructional vision. By bringing together multiple perspectives, the committee will:

  1. Support alignment across academic and behavioral systems;
  2. Ensure that instruction is intentional, sustainable, and centered on student learning; and
  3. Maintain consistency while honoring professional expertise and autonomy, strengthening collective teacher efficacy across schools and teams.
