This is a friendly reminder that each and every one of you should review your building emergency procedure guide (lockdown, fire etc.). If you don’t have a copy (you should have been issued one) please contact your administrator as soon as possible and get a copy. When there is an emergency, that is not the time to pull out the procedure manual. We as teachers have a professional and legal obligation to protect our students, please if you haven’t done so, please review all the emergency procedures so you are ready if in fact there is an emergency.
The following website site is the Vermont Emergency Management School Crisis Guide. Besides looking at each school plan, take the time to look at this guide because school safety and security of students is an important part of your job and not just the administrators concern.
